Legend of Defenders heroes, captains, turrets and bosses

For Legend of Defenders, official posts, store screenshots and launch-week gameplay videos name 22 heroes, 6 captains, 9 turrets and towers, 3 cannons, 7 Rift bosses and 2 main-wave bosses. Each entry says what its source shows and links to it. Where a source only shows a name, we say so instead of guessing.

Legend of Defenders heroes (22)

Heroes fight from the castle windows. Up to nine can be deployed once the Castle is high enough. Heroes described in official posts come first, then heroes seen on the store screenshot and in launch-week gameplay videos.

Captains (6)

Captains walk the battlefield in front of the castle. They need their own Captain slot and cannot go in hero slots. Several come out of normal recruiting.

Turrets & towers (9)

Turrets stand in front of the castle and shape the whole team, not just their own damage.

Cannons (3)

Cannons sit on the castle. In manual mode you aim and fire them yourself; on Auto they fire on their own.

Legend of Defenders Rift bosses (7)

Rift Raid bosses drop equipment. The five with achievements are listed in unlock order with the share of players who have beaten them.

Main-wave bosses (2)

Bosses that show up on the main defense waves, roughly every ten waves.

Treasures

There are 47 Treasures in total: the final achievement, All The Treasures Are Mine!, asks for 47 and only 0.5% of players have it. Treasures add effects that make certain team combinations work together. The six named in the 1 October Demo launch post:

Gems

Recruiting also drops Gems, which go in their own slots and give team-wide bonuses. Names seen on launch day include the Weapon, Vitality, Arcane, Thunder, Toxin, Gold, Experience and Summoning Gems; the Weapon Gem raised Physical damage by 25% in one save (AboboKnows 3:15). We list the full gem effects once we can confirm them.

Units we have only seen in passing

Bloom and Glacier show up in recruit results and turret lists in gameplay videos, but no source says what they do yet, so they are not listed above.

Element tags

A colored tag means a source states that element: Fire Ice Poison. No tag means the source does not say. Physical damage also exists (talents refer to "Physical Heroes").
